GTA風味なアクションゲーム「The Precinct」がリリース。犯罪の兆候を察知し，暴力で町を支配するギャングたちを片っ端から追い詰めろ！

　Kwaleeは2025年5月13日，Fallen Tree Gamesが開発する斜め見下ろし視点型のアクションゲーム「The Precinct」（PC / PS5 / Xbox Series X|S）を発売し，ローンチトレイラーを公開した。



　「The Precinct」は，凶悪なギャングたちに支配されてしまった1980年代のアメリカを思わせる架空都市アヴェルノシティを舞台に，警察学校を卒業して赴任してきたばかりの主人公ニック・コーデル・ジュニアが奮闘する姿が描かれる。
　ニックの父も警察官だったが，この町で住民を守って殉死しており，その未解決事件の謎を解き明かしていくのが最終的な目標になっている。


　1980年代から1990年代にかけてのポリスアクション映画への愛を感じさせる表現が詰め込まれた感のある本作。街のパトロール中に自動生成で発生する，駐車違反や路上生活者の争い，車上荒らし，麻薬密売，強盗，殺人などの犯罪の兆候が起点となりミッションが始まるというサンドボックス型のゲームプレイが核となっている。


　仲間からの緊急招集や自分で発見した事件が発展し，カーチェイスで容疑者を追跡したり，ヘリコプターを要請したり，街中で銃撃戦を繰り広げたりできる。車で逃走する犯人に対して，バリケードやスパイクストリップで追い詰めていくといった，警察側の戦術シミュレーションも本作の大きな魅力の1つであるようだ。


　「The Precinct」のSteamユーザーレビューは，すでに「非常に好評」を獲得しており，ゲーマーからの評判も高い。インタフェースと字幕が日本語化されているのもうれしいところだ。Steamでは，リリースを記念して5月21日まで15％オフになるセールを実施中なので，気になる人はチェックしておこう。
